The Quooker CUBE explained — filtered chilled and sparkling water
The Quooker CUBE is an add-on unit for filtered chilled and filtered sparkling water from your Quooker tap. It sits in the sink cabinet next to the Quooker reservoir and only works with compatible taps and reservoirs (see the serial numbers below). The simplest way to buy it is a Complete CUBE Pack: tap + COMBI+ reservoir + CUBE.
What the CUBE adds
With a CUBE, your Quooker tap supplies filtered chilled and filtered sparkling water in addition to cold, hot and boiling water. The LED ring on the tap turns blue for chilled filtered water and flashes blue for chilled sparkling water.
- Capacity: a 1.6-litre chilled-water reservoir and a 0.6-litre sparkling-water reservoir. While you dispense sparkling water, the CUBE tops itself up with chilled water, so up to 2.4 litres of sparkling water is available at once.
- Flow: 2.4 litres per minute of filtered water and 2 litres per minute of sparkling water.
- Cooling time: about 30 minutes once the chilled water has been used up (40 minutes the first time).
- Filtration: activated carbon and hollow fibre.
Which Quooker systems work with the CUBE?
According to Quooker's CUBE manual, only reservoirs with a serial number that contains a W or starts with an R, and taps with a serial number that contains a W or starts with a T, can be combined with a CUBE. Some taps need one step before installation: the Front has a locking pin that must be removed, and a Flex with a serial number starting with TFL is unlocked with the supplied CUBE unlocking tool (a Flex starting with TFX needs no unlocking). Space and installation requirements
- Dimensions: height 50 cm, width 15.3 cm (22.3 cm including the CO₂ cylinder), depth 27 cm (34 cm including the CO₂ cylinder).
- Clearance: keep at least 10 cm free behind the CUBE so warm air can escape; Quooker recommends at least 2 cm extra on each side. Place the CUBE within 70 cm of the Quooker reservoir; a CUBE extension set is available for longer distances.
- Cabinet ventilation: an opening of about 20 × 20 cm (400 cm²) in the back panel, or an equivalent opening in the base, starting 5 cm from the bottom of the cabinet.
- Power: the reservoir and the CUBE need two grounded Type F (EU) 16 A sockets. If no socket is free, the Quooker power switch can be used. The CUBE's connected load is 100 W.
- Water: water pressure between 2 and 6 bar. Quooker does not recommend connecting the CUBE and reservoir to a reverse-osmosis system or a pH-lowering water softener.
Watertap does not install. In Belgium, installation can be arranged through Crowntap.be; elsewhere, choose a qualified local plumber who follows the Quooker manual. See our installation guide.
Running items and maintenance
- CO₂ cylinder: the CUBE comes with a Quooker CO₂ cylinder containing enough CO₂ for about 60 litres of sparkling water. Only Quooker CO₂ cylinders can be used; see Quooker CO₂ cylinders for replacements.
- Filter cartridge: replace it at least every 12 months for hygienic reasons, regardless of use. A CUBE delivered after August 2022 (red top) uses the Quooker AC+HF filter cartridge; the filter guide explains the generations and the replacement.
- Fan: Quooker recommends cleaning the fan at the back of the CUBE once a year with a brush or a vacuum cleaner.
