Quooker filter guide: replacement and CUBE compatibility

Quooker Fusion Round boiling water tap — with AWO touch-free control, pouring 100 °C boiling water in a real customer kitchen. Genuine Quooker product supplied by Watertap.eu.

Choose by filter system, not just tap name. For a Cold Water Filter or CUBE delivered after August 2022 with a red top, see the Quooker AC+HF Filter Cartridge. For the older CUBE delivered before August 2022, contact Watertap: we do not sell its HF-AC cartridge. To add filtered cold water without a CUBE, see the Quooker Cold Water Filter system.

Which filter system do I have?

Cold Water Filter: a separate filter under the worktop, installed on the cold-water supply. Its communication cable connects to the second jack-plug port on the reservoir cover. It combines active carbon (AC) and hollow fibre (HF); the complete system is different from its replacement cartridge.

CUBE 2.0: the generation delivered after August 2022, recognisable by its red top, uses the CUBE AC+HF filter. CUBE adds filtered chilled and filtered sparkling water. CUBE 1.0: units delivered before August 2022 use the older HF-AC cartridge. The similar letters do not mean the two cartridges are interchangeable.

If delivery date or generation is unclear, ask for help identifying the unit rather than relying on the tap's shape. Quooker's CUBE cartridge information explains the generation distinction. Read our CUBE guide for the system's water functions.

Cold Water Filter AC+HF Yes — see current price
CUBE 2.0 — delivered after August 2022, red top AC+HF Yes — see current price
CUBE 1.0 — delivered before August 2022 HF-AC No — contact us

The table concerns replacement cartridges, not complete tap compatibility. The AC+HF replacement is covered for both Cold Water Filter and CUBE in Quooker’s official replacement manual. It does not establish compatibility with the older HF-AC CUBE system.

When to replace and flush

Replace the AC+HF cartridge after 12 months or 3,500 litres, whichever comes first. Quooker's AC+HF filter datasheet requires replacement after 12 months regardless of use. Low consumption does not extend that interval. If the filter has not been used for more than three weeks, replace it and flush as the datasheet directs.

For the Cold Water Filter, run filtered cold water for five minutes before first use. Carbon residue can briefly turn the water black; the instructions describe this as harmless. After a period without use, flush filtered water for five minutes. That routine flush does not replace the cartridge change required after more than three weeks without use.

Filtered flow through the Cold Water Filter is lower than unfiltered flow. The CUBE's CO₂ cylinder is a separate consumable, supplying approximately 60 litres of sparkling water. Changing the cylinder is not filter maintenance and does not restart the cartridge's service life.

Replacement, resets and alarms

Use Quooker's illustrated Replacing the AC+HF filter — Cold Water Filter / CUBE instructions. Follow the page for your system: the water shut-off and reset arrangements differ. The following outline is not a substitute for those diagrams.

  1. For the Cold Water Filter, close the water supply as illustrated. Unscrew the old cartridge from its head and remove it. The CUBE page shows its own cartridge removal sequence.
  2. Remove the protective cap from the new cartridge and screw it into the filter head as illustrated. For the Cold Water Filter, reopen the supply as shown.
  3. Flush using the filtered-water control shown for your tap. Follow the system-specific flushing instructions; the Cold Water Filter first-use and non-use routines are described above.
  4. Complete the replacement reset: the Cold Water Filter diagram shows a ten-second press on the filter-head button. The CUBE diagram shows confirmation through the display's Filter menu.

The Cold Water Filter sounds an alarm after 12 months. Pressing its red button snoozes that alarm for seven days; snoozing does not renew the cartridge. The supplied CUBE tips describe a separate display snooze of 72 hours. Do not transfer that setting to the Cold Water Filter.

For a Cold Water Filter fault, its usage tips describe switching the reservoir off with the Q button, waiting one minute, then switching it on again. This troubleshooting restart is not a cartridge replacement reset. If the fault remains, contact your installer or supplier.

Reservoir filter and installation

The boiling-water reservoir contains a built-in HiTAC filter: High Temperature Activated Carbon. It is not the external AC+HF cartridge and is not a user-replaceable product we sell. For reservoir maintenance or descaling, use our installation guide and Quooker support; do not substitute an external filter change for reservoir service.

The Cold Water Filter product page is for the complete filter system, while the cartridge page is for a replacement. Watertap does not install. Installation in Belgium can be arranged through Crowntap.be; elsewhere choose a qualified local plumber and follow the Quooker installation manual. The Cold Water Filter warranty is two years, covering parts only, not labour.

Filter replacement FAQ

How often should I replace a Quooker filter?

For the AC+HF cartridge, the limit is 12 months or 3,500 litres. Replace at 12 months even if little water has been used; replacement and flushing are also required after more than three weeks without use.

Which cartridge do I need for CUBE filter replacement?

The red-top CUBE delivered after August 2022 uses AC+HF. A CUBE delivered before August 2022 uses the older HF-AC cartridge, which Watertap does not sell. Ask us if you cannot identify the generation.

How do I replace an AC+HF filter?

Use the linked Quooker replacement PDF and select the Cold Water Filter or CUBE page. It shows cartridge removal, fitting, flushing and the relevant reset. Do not assume both systems have the same controls.

Does snoozing the filter alarm count as replacement?

No. The seven-day red-button snooze on the Cold Water Filter only postpones the reminder. Fit a new cartridge and complete the replacement reset according to the manual.

Choose your next step

Need only a filter? You do not need the configurator. Go directly to the Quooker AC+HF Filter Cartridge and current price, or choose the complete Cold Water Filter if you need the system rather than a consumable. For a complete tap system, the configurator is a separate route.

Orders ship from Belgium with DHL Express. Shipping per complete order is EUR 50 to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and Germany; EUR 250 to Cyprus; EUR 100 to other EU countries. See the shipping policy.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I replace a Quooker filter?Open

The AC+HF cartridge is replaced after 12 months or 3,500 litres, whichever comes first. Replace it at 12 months even if little water was used, and replace and flush it if the filter has not been used for more than three weeks.

Which cartridge do I need for my CUBE?Open

A CUBE delivered after August 2022, recognisable by its red top, uses the AC+HF cartridge. A CUBE delivered before August 2022 uses the older HF-AC cartridge, which Watertap does not sell — contact us if you are unsure which generation you have.

Does the Cold Water Filter use the same cartridge?Open

Yes. Quooker's replacement instructions for the AC+HF filter cover both the Cold Water Filter and the CUBE. Follow the page for your own system, because the shut-off and reset steps differ.

How do I reset the filter reminder after a replacement?Open

For the Cold Water Filter, Quooker's diagram shows a ten-second press on the button of the filter head. For the CUBE, the replacement is confirmed through the Filter menu on the display.

What does the Cold Water Filter alarm mean?Open

The Cold Water Filter sounds an alarm after 12 months. Pressing the red button snoozes it for seven days; snoozing does not renew the cartridge.

Why is the water briefly black after fitting a new cartridge?Open

Carbon residue from a new cartridge can colour the first water black; Quooker describes this as harmless. Run filtered cold water for two minutes before first use.

Do all Quookers need an external filter?Open

No. The boiling-water reservoir has a built-in HiTAC filter, which is not a product you replace yourself. The external AC+HF cartridge applies to the Cold Water Filter and the CUBE.

Do I need to change the CO₂ cylinder when I change the filter?Open

No, they are separate consumables. The CUBE's CO₂ cylinder supplies approximately 60 litres of sparkling water and is replaced on its own schedule.

Do you ship replacement filters to my country?Open

Yes. Filters ship across the EU with DHL Express — €50 per order to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and Germany, €250 per order to Cyprus, and €100 per order to other EU countries. Delivery time depends on the destination country and DHL Express.
