These tips explain how the PowerSwitch works, how to set it up, and when it's better left inactive.
What the PowerSwitch does
The PowerSwitch cuts power to the reservoir during scheduled night hours. During the day the reservoir heats normally; at night the heater is off — cutting standby use by up to 50 %.
Setting it up
Plug the PowerSwitch between the wall socket and the reservoir plug. Set the daily off/on times on the digital timer (e.g. off 23:00–06:00). Summer/winter time is handled automatically.
When not to use it
If you regularly need boiling water at night or very early (night shifts, baby bottles), disable those hours — the tap will only give lukewarm water until the reservoir reheats.
